American Pit Bull Terrier

Originally bred to "bait" bulls, the breed evolved into the all-around farm dogs, and later moved into the house to become "nanny dogs" because they're so gentle around children.

Anatolian/Kangal Shepherd Dog

The Anatolian Shepard Dog is a livestock guardian dog, meaning he is in charge of watching over a flock and protecting the defenseless animals from predators.

Belgian Malinois

The Belgian Malinois was named after the Belgian city of Malines. While the Belgian Malinois is still rare in the USA, it is popular in Belgium, its country of origin.

Bernese Mountain Dog

They were developed to herd cattle, pull carts, and be watchdogs and loyal companions.

Bloodhound

A large heavy boned hound, where most of it's body has been developed for the sole purpose of being one of the best canines to track a scent.

Bull Mastiff

The Bull Mastiff is a large-sized breed of domestic dog, with a solid build and a short muzzle.

Cane Corso

A large Italian breed used for personal protection, tracking and law enforcement.

Doberman Pinscher

The “Tax Collector’s Dog” quickly gained an international reputation as a supreme working dog.

Dogue de Bordeaux

The breed has served as a war dog, flock guardian, cattle herder, guard dog, trained to bait bulls, bears, and jaguars, and as a hunter of boars. The breed was recognized by the AKC in 2008.

Dogo Argentino

Developed in Argentina primarily known for the purpose of big-game hunting and steadfast bravery and willingly protect its human companion.

Dutch Shepherd

The Dutch Shepherd is a herding dog of Dutch origin. They were used by shepherds and farmers who needed a versatile dog, with few demands, and a dog that was able to adapt to a harsh and meager existence.

English Mastiff

The Mastiff as we know it came into focus in medieval England, used as big-game hunters, nighttime guardians of estates, and war dogs. The English Mastiff is known for it's gentle and loving nature.

Fila Brasileiro

A large working breed developed in Brazil to track and pin slaves. It is known for its ojeriza & faithfulness.

Giant Schnauzer

Extremely intelligent and strongly territorial, the Giant Schnauzer loves his owners and feels great responsibility to protect them.

German Shepherd Dog

They are known for being easy to train and good for performing tasks and following instructions. They are especially well known for their police work, being used for tracking criminals, patrolling troubled areas and detection and holding of suspects

Great Dane

A Great Dane is truly a great dog breed–large and noble, commonly referred to as a gentle giant or as the “Apollo of dogs.”

Great Pyrenees

The Great Pyrenees is a large, thickly coated, and immensely powerful working dog bred to deter sheep-stealing wolves and other predators on snowy mountaintops. Pyrs today are mellow companions and vigilant guardians of home and family.

Irish Wolfhound

The amiable Irish Wolfhound is an immense, muscular hound gracefully built along classic Greyhound lines, capable of great speed at the gallop.

Neapolitan Mastiff

Deep ancestrial roots from Italy, the Neo descends from Roman war dogs. Now well characterized by their infamous dewlaps and wrinkles. Not for the novice dog owner. 

Newfoundland

The Newfoundland is a large, heavily boned, powerful dog, strong enough to pull a drowning man from rough seas.

Presa Canario

The Perro de Presa Canario has a calm appearance and attentive expression. He is especially suited to guarding and traditionally used for herding cattle.

Rottweiler

American Vs. German

The Rottweiler was originally bred to drive cattle to market. Later they were used to pull carts for butchers. They were among the earliest police dogs and serve with honor in the military.

Saint Bernard

The St. Bernard or St Bernard is a breed of very large working dog from the western Alps in Italy and Switzerland. They were originally bred for rescue work by the hospice of the Great St Bernard Pass on the Italian-Swiss border.

Staffordshire Bull Terrier

These are rock-solid, muscular terriers which still resemble the pugnacious brawlers who once ruled England's fighting pits. 

Happily, good breeding transformed this former gladiator into a mild, playful companion.

Tibetan Mastiff

Watchful, aloof, imposing, and intimidating: The ancient Tibetan Mastiff is the guardian dog supreme. These densely coated giants are mellow and calm around the house, sweetly devoted to family, and aloof and territorial with strangers.
