Story about this:
When I first decided to share my vision of THE MASTIFF HOUSE, this domain name was for sale for thousands of dollars, which was not in the budget for just a website name, let alone all other start-up costs, which any entrepreneur will agree can be expensive and add up quickly. I didn't want to stop the progress, so I decided to accept a different domain name and push forward. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't my first choice.
Along the way there have been rough starts, limited hours & capital, unclear or misguided direction, product testing fails, a depletion of reserves in exchange for a small warehouse of unused supplies, along with expensive monthly operating costs, and extended breaks in between all of this mess to catch my breath before trying again.... but never a "quit".
About a year ago from this writing, it started when the thought of THE MASTIFF HOUSE came to mind (again) without any high hopes or expectations, other than the feeling of wanting to move forward with my vision or give it up completely and move on with my life. I had previously shut down the domain name combined with the expensive website plan, once I realized the monthly costs and current partnership's I was working on establishing were not in the best interest of the company or my time. As I was sitting in the car randomly thinking about this, I couldn't help but to pick up my phone just to see if my preferred domain name was still for sale.
I just wanted to see if they lowered the price to something more reasonable.............This time it was not for sale........it was available!
I instantly got an excited feeling in my stomach.
Since then, and once again, I have been putting what little time throughout my day, week or month that I have available towards this goal of sharing knowledge, learning more as I go, and helping the molosser & working breeds and their people, with what I have to offer.
This time around, from the domain name on, it seems like the alignment is in place and there is equal reward to match the effort!
This time has brought different (along with easier and less expensive) design tools, more clarity in the direction I want this non-profit to go in, product testing passes instead of fails, and merchandise partnerships and events that I currently cannot wait to launch.
Although I do not know how this endeavor will go, or how long it will take to get THE MASTIFF HOUSE to it's "destination", the process is definitely different.
No matter what your beliefs or religion, (no judgement here) this seems to be a perfect example to me of how HIS timing works and when it is in alignment, the path is so much smoother. Just one more example of how when you follow your intuition and do not give up, great things can happen.
Not to discredit any of the rough starts or hardships THE MASTIFF HOUSE has encountered in the past because there has been good experiences and learning lessons along the way that help to ensure & validate me in my current direction for this cause, and I am truly excited to bring it to the world, no matter how big or small it may become. Who would have thought a domain name could have such a story!
